February's Community Outreach: Kicking Off the Year with Heart at Spinato's!

The Heart Of What We Do! 💗

At Spinato's, giving back isn't just part of what we do—it's who we are. This February, we're excited to kick off the year with three impactful community outreach initiatives, bringing people together for causes close to our hearts. Here's a glimpse of what we have planned and how you can get involved.

Supporting Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research (SSBTR)

We're celebrating six years of supporting SSBTR, the largest student-run nonprofit in Arizona. The funds raised help organizations like Phoenix Children's Hospital, Barrow Neurological Institute, and the National Brain Tumor Society support families affected by brain tumors.

Every year, it's a buzz when we pull up with stacks of pizzas for the event. People light up when they see us, and we love catching up with the community members who come back year after year. One of the main coordinators, Marty, never lets us forget to bring his favorite—Il' Italiana. It's become a fun tradition, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

The best part is hearing stories from families and friends about their loved ones and seeing how much this event means to them. It's humbling to be part of something that brings so many people together for a cause that truly matters. Every year, we hear the same question: "You'll be back next year, right?"—and the answer is always YES!

Cooking with A New Leaf

We're really excited about this one! This brand-new event is giving us the opportunity to do something we love—cooking and connecting with people in a fun, hands-on way.

Fifteen residents of A New Leaf, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in need, will join us for a pasta-making class. We'll be rolling out fresh pasta from scratch, thanks to the generous donation of Hayden Flour Mills' pasta flour mix.

Personally, I love this event because cooking has always been a passion of mine. Teaching others techniques that might seem daunting at first—then watching them realize they can do it—is such a rewarding experience. Cooking is about bringing people together, and I can't wait to share that with the A New Leaf residents.

We'll wrap up the afternoon with a family-style meal, and everyone will leave with a goody bag filled with Hayden Flour Mills pasta flour mix, Safeway gift cards, and a few other surprises. This is going to be a special one, and I hope it's just the beginning of more hands-on experiences like this.

Gilbert Feeding Families

Our Gilbert location is thrilled to participate in the annual Gilbert Feeding Families food drive for the second year. This incredible initiative collects non-perishable, non-expired food items to support the United Food Bank, helping families in need across the Valley.

From February 21st to 23rd, we're taking it one step further: a portion of proceeds from all sales at our Gilbert location will be donated to the drive.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against hunger in our community and we look forward to participating!

Join Us in Making a Difference

February is all about connection—whether it's sharing pizza with SSBTR participants, bonding over pasta-making with A New Leaf residents, or helping families in Gilbert through food donations. Each initiative represents a small act of kindness that, together, makes a significant impact.

We invite you to join the journey. Stop by one of our restaurants, participate in these great causes, or simply spread the word. Let's work together to make February a month full of love, generosity, and community.

From our family to yours, thank you for helping us make a difference. We can't wait to see you out there!
