Helping Hands For Freedom 2026 Golf Tournament

If you've ever tried to follow a round of golf for the snacks instead of the score… you would've fit right in with us at this year's Helping Hands for Freedom Golf Tournament.

Between the sunshine, the laughs, and a whole lot of community spirit, it turned into one of those days that reminds you just how lucky we are to be surrounded by people who show up for each other and for a really meaningful cause.

Who is Helping Hands for Freedom?

Helping Hands for Freedom is a truly special Arizona-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. Their mission goes far beyond simple assistance. They provide critical financial support, housing stability, caregiver aid, and programs designed to improve the quality of life for those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

They step in when families need it most. Whether it's helping a wounded veteran transition back to civilian life, supporting caregivers, or ensuring military families have access to basic necessities. It's grassroots, hands-on, and deeply personal work… and it changes lives right here in our own backyard.

A Day on the Green at Moon Valley

This year's tournament, held at the beautiful Moon Valley Golf Course, brought together 144 golfers, including veterans, active service members, and community supporters, for a day that perfectly blended fun, gratitude, and purpose.

And let me tell you… the weather showed up for us! At Spinato's, we had the honor of sponsoring a foursome made up of our own team members, the same folks who bring the Spinato's Experience to life every day in our restaurants. Watching them out there representing, connecting with the community, and supporting such an important cause… that's what it's all about.

Hole 9: Where the Fun Happened

We also sponsored the 9th hole this year, and we may have brought a little extra sweetness to the course.

Our cannoli bar was a hit (no pun intended). Golfers got to build their own cannoli creations with toppings like Fruity Pebbles, mini-M&M's, butterscotch chips, Heath chips, strawberries, mini chocolate chips, and crushed Oreos. Safe to say, there were a lot of smiles (and probably some sugar rushes) happening on that hole.

On top of that, we added a little "Spinato's-style" fun with our spin-to-win game, where golfers had the chance to win some of our swag. Between the laughs, the friendly competition, and the community spirit, we were able to raise over $500 to support Helping Hands for Freedom's mission.

Why This Matters to Us

At Spinato's, one of our core values is community, and one of our fundamentals is serving outside our walls. Events like this are exactly what that looks like in action.

We're incredibly grateful to Helping Hands for Freedom for the work they do every single day, and we're proud to stand alongside them.

To everyone who participated, volunteered, supported, donated, or simply showed up with a smile, thank you. You made it a truly lovely day for an even greater cause.
