Holiday Kindness Challenge: Kenneth Anthony Spinato Foundation

The holidays feel a little more special when we come together to care for one another. Growing up, there was a time when our family experienced the kindness and generosity of our community at Christmas. When we were in a position to give back, helping others became a family tradition. Sometimes that meant providing an entire Christmas, and other times it was a gift, a meal, or simply welcoming someone with open arms into our home to break bread. This November, we're inviting our Spinato's family, guests, and community to help bring Christmas joy to the Ortiz family through our Holiday Kindness Challenge.

Meet the Ortiz Family

The Ortiz family has three children, 7-year-old twins and a 4-year-old, and has also opened their home to foster children.

We learned about the family through our friends at Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Two foster children in the Ortiz family's care received beds through the organization. That connection introduced us to the Ortiz family and allowed us to offer some kindness of our own for a family that is going through a difficult season.

This Christmas, we're excited to help make the Ortiz family's holiday wishes come true, and we'd love for you to be part of it! Their greatest needs are essentials like clothing, shoes, and hygiene products. As a mom myself, I also wanted to include a few fun surprises, like toys and crafts, to bring a little extra Christmas magic to the kids.

Pick an Ornament. Share Some Kindness

Beginning November 1, stop by your favorite Spinato's location and choose an ornament from our Kindness Tree. Each ornament includes a QR code that makes giving easy. You also get to keep the ornament as a thank-you for your generosity!

You'll notice a QR code on the ornament. You'll want to scan the QR code to visit our Holiday Kindness Challenge landing page, follow the link to the Amazon Registry, and choose a gift from the family's wish list. It will ship your gift directly to our Family Headquarters Office using the registry's designated shipping address. From there, our volunteers will wrap the gifts and prepare them for delivery to the Ortiz family in December. You get to help make a Christmas wish come true, and we'll take care of the wrapping and delivery!
