Spinato's Second Annual Kindness Challenge: Spreading Hope and Compassion in Our Community

As the rates of homelessness continue to rise, especially between the ages of 25-61, with children and youth constituting a small percentage and veteran households rising 12% from last year, it's become clear that we all need to play a role in offering hope and support to those in need. At Spinato's, we believe in the power of community and kindness. That's why we're excited to announce the launch of our second annual Kindness Challenge—an initiative aimed at giving back in a meaningful way.

A Year of Growth and Generosity

Building on the success of last year's challenge, we knew we wanted to 'Go Big or Go Home,' and involve more people in our mission. This year, we've extended the challenge to our partners by creating a sponsorship deck they could rally behind. We're thrilled to say that, thanks to our sponsors' generosity, we raised enough money to help purchase supplies for our Kindness Bags and then some! With their support, we've packed 500 bags filled with essential items like soap, socks, cooling towels, shampoo, conditioner, first-aid supplies, beverages, tissues, snacks, and more.

Giving Back, One Bag at a Time

Our guests have also been invited to get involved in the Kindness Challenge, with the opportunity to purchase a $5 donation bag they can give directly to someone in need. 100% of the proceeds from these bags will go to St. Vincent de Paul, a nonprofit that plays a vital role in supporting our local community. By purchasing a bag, our guests can directly and positively impact someone's life, knowing they are contributing to a broader effort to help those who need it most.

A Collaborative Effort

Packing these bags wouldn't have been possible without the help of our sponsors, who volunteered their time to ensure each bag was carefully assembled with care and compassion. It's a true testament to what can be achieved when businesses and community members come together for a common cause.

A Special Day of Giving: Kitchen Takeover at St. Vincent de Paul

On Oct. 7th, we're continuing a tradition by holding our Kitchen Takeover Day at St. Vincent de Paul. Our Spinato's team and our Gold Sponsors will cook Spinato's pizza for the guests at St. Vincent de Paul. Last year's event was a heartwarming experience for everyone involved, and we can't wait to bring smiles (and pizzas) to more faces this year.
