The Holiday Kindness Challenge

The Ortiz family first connected with our outreach partners, Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), at the beginning of the year, when beds were needed for their three children and two foster children.

When the foster children later transitioned to new homes, they were able to take their beds with them, ensuring they continued to have a safe and comfortable place to sleep.

Through that connection, Sleep in Heavenly Peace learned more about the Ortiz family and the challenges they were facing. They shared the Ortiz's story with us, and we knew this was a family Spinato's wanted to support.

They have three children, including 7-year-old twins and a 4-year-old, and we are grateful for the opportunity to come alongside their family and help make this season a little brighter.

The Kindness Challenge began in 2023 with a simple idea: Kindness Is Contagious. As a local, family-owned restaurant, we wanted to find meaningful ways to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years, while encouraging our guests, team members, partners, sponsors, and fellow local businesses to join us.

Since then, the Kindness Challenge has continued to grow, creating more opportunities for our community to come together, give back, and make a difference.

This holiday season, the Kenneth Anthony Spinato Foundation is continuing the Kindness Challenge: Holiday Edition with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), an incredible organization with a mission to ensure that no child sleeps on the floor.

On November 14th, 40 volunteers, including Spinato's team members, partners, sponsors, and members of our community, will roll up their sleeves and work side by side to build beds for local children in need.

But the kindness won't stop there.

As part of our Holiday Edition, we will also come together to give one local family a Christmas to remember, filling their holiday with gifts, joy, and a little extra love from the Spinato's community.

Because sometimes the simplest acts of kindness, when we all do them together, can make the biggest difference.

From there, you can explore our Amazon registry and choose a gift to give. Each purchase helps us make the holidays a little brighter for the Ortiz family.

When you purchase a gift, it will be shipped to our Family Headquarters Office, where our team of volunteers will carefully wrap each present before delivering it to the family on December 12th.
