150 Ways To Kindness: Kindness Challenge 2026 Benefiting St. Vincent de Paul

As part of the Kenneth Anthony Spinato Foundation's Kindness Challenge, our team headed back in the St. Vincent de Paul kitchen, where we rolled up our sleeves and made 150 Spinato's pizzas for guests served at SVDP on Monday, October 5th.

This year feels especially exciting because our Kindness Challenge family continues to grow!

We're thrilled to welcome our sponsors and volunteers from Hey Diner, Pepsi, and Crescent Crown to the kitchen alongside our Spinato's team members, who are provided up to 16 hours of paid volunteer time each year to give back and serve in our community.

There is something incredibly meaningful about seeing different businesses and organizations come together, put on an apron, and work side by side for the same purpose. And, of course, making 150 pizzas takes a whole lot of cheese and pepperoni!

Our Presenting Partner, Greco & Sons, generously donated the cheese and pepperoni for this year's Kitchen Takeover. Greco & Sons has continued to show up for the Kindness Challenge in such meaningful ways, and we are incredibly grateful for their partnership and their belief in what we're trying to accomplish together.

Our Best Kindness Bag Year Yet!

Before we even stepped into the SVDP kitchen, our guests and team members were already making a HUGE impact. This year, our Kindness Bags raised just over $3,850 in our restaurants, making 2026 our best year yet!

These bags may seem like a simple act of kindness, but that's really what this challenge has always been about. Small acts, multiplied by a whole lot of people, can make a pretty incredible difference.

To every guest who purchased a Kindness Bag, every team member who helped share the mission, and every person who encouraged someone else to participate: THANK YOU!

$7,000 Going Back Into Our Community

This is the part that makes us especially proud. Through the generosity of our guests and team members, along with the support of our incredible Presenting Partners, the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation and Greco and Sons, sponsors, and the Kenneth Anthony Spinato Foundation, $7,000 will benefit St. Vincent de Paul and the important work they do throughout our community.

That number represents so much more than dollars. It represents people helping people. It represents businesses choosing to serve together instead of simply doing business together. It represents our guests trusting us to help turn their generosity into something meaningful. And it represents what can happen when a community decides that kindness is worth showing up for.

Serving Outside Our Walls

As an owner-operator and Community Outreach Director at Spinato's, these are the days that remind me why community outreach means so much to our family.

Our community has supported our restaurants for 52 years. You have celebrated birthdays with us, brought your families to our tables, ordered pizza delivery, supported our team members, recommended us when someone asks about the best pizza in AZ has to offer, and continued to make Spinato's part of your family traditions.

To St. Vincent de Paul, thank you for allowing us into your kitchen and giving us an opportunity to support the incredible work you do every day.
