Kindness Challenge: Holiday Edition

At Spinato's, one of our greatest joys is giving back to the same community that has supported our family for more than 51 years. Our annual Kindness Challenge began in 2023 as a simple way to spread love, gratitude, and encouragement to those around us. And each year, it continues to grow in meaning and impact.

This year's Kindness Challenge: Holiday Edition is extra special, because it's about coming together to bless one very deserving family, the Engle Family.

Meet the Engle Family

Karen and David Engle are raising six beautiful children, ages three through nine. Like so many parents, they work hard every single day to provide for their family, and yet, despite their best efforts, life has thrown them some difficult challenges.

When I had the privilege of speaking with Karen, her strength and love for her family left a lasting impression on me. She shared with such honesty about what they've faced, and the daily struggle of meeting even their most basic needs; things that, if I'm being transparent, I sometimes take for granted.

Her story reminded me that there are so many families right here in our own neighborhoods who need a little extra love, hope, and support. And that's exactly what this Kindness Challenge is all about.

How We're Helping

This holiday season, we're wrapping our arms around the Engle Family to make sure they experience a Christmas filled with warmth, joy, and the magic of community.

We're inviting our guests, team members, sponsors, and friends to help us give this family a Christmas to remember; complete with gifts, special surprises, and the kind of love that can only come from a caring community.

Here's how you can join us:

🎁 Give a gift from November 1 to November 30, visit any Spinato's location, and pick an ornament from our Kindness Tree. Each ornament features a QR code that directs you directly to our landing page with an Amazon registry, where you can select a gift for the Engle Family.

Each purchase will be shipped to our Family Headquarters Office, where our volunteer team will wrap each present with love and care before delivering them to the family before Christmas.

Our Spinato's family has always believed in serving outside our walls. It's one of our core values, and it's at the heart of who we are. This holiday season, as we bless the Engle Family, I hope it also inspires each of us to look for opportunities to share kindness in our own corners of the world.
