The Heart of Hospitality at Spinato's

My husband always says, "We are not in the pizza business, we are in the people business." That's been a guiding light for our family and our team for more than 51 years. Yes, we serve pizza that we're proud of, but the real story of Spinato's is about the people we serve and how we welcome them into our family.

About a year ago, our pastor shared a Greek word that has stuck with us ever since: Philo Xena. It means hospitality to a stranger, showing love to a stranger. When we heard that word, we looked at each other and said, "That's exactly what we do at Spinato's!"

Every day, when someone new walks through our doors, we see an opportunity to live out Philo Xena, welcoming them with warmth, treating them with care, and inviting them to experience what our family has cherished for decades. More often than not, those "strangers" quickly become regulars, friends, and even like family to us and our team.

Hospitality isn't just a nice add-on to what we do; it is what we do. From the moment a guest steps into one of our restaurants, we hope they feel seen, valued, and cared for. But our heart for hospitality doesn't stop at our restaurant doors. At Spinato's, one of our core values is community, and one of our fundamentals is serving outside our walls. For over five decades, our family has been blessed by the support of this community, and we feel it's our responsibility, and our joy, to give back. Whether it's volunteering, supporting local causes, or simply lending a hand where it's needed, we believe genuine hospitality extends into every part of life.

Of course, hospitality also shows up in the joy we share with our team. Our guests don't just see our smiles; they hear our laughter, feel our energy, and even get to join in on our jokes. We believe that when our team has fun together, our guests feel it, too. That sense of humor, warmth, and authenticity is part of who we are, and it's part of the reason so many of you have let us be part of your family traditions.

Hospitality is about more than great service; it's about the heart behind it. It's about creating space at our table for everyone and making them feel like they belong. That's the Spinato's way.
